Beijing Union University is actively engaged in various international cooperation schemes and has taken part in and hosted many international conferences. Each year the university hosts visits of scholars from many different countries.

Working together with Fresno College of California University in US and Konkuk University in Korea, BUU has set up a biannual trilateral conference where issues of academic and social interests are discussed. The conference has drawn wider attention and its academic and social values have been recognized in the three countries. It also serves as a channel to introduce BUU.

The annual Beijing Studies International Symposium attracts experts from across the world to address the issues such as urban development and cultural heritage preservation and contributes to the research of local studies.  

All the teachers and students are encouraged to take part in the related symposiums and to communicate with the experts across the world.
