BUU Series English Lectures in Spring 2012

The spring season BUU Series English lectures kick off on March. 6, following the successful experience in the year of 2011. This activity is actively hosted by Division of International Exchange & Cooperation and College of International Education, and cooperatively supported by Division of English Teaching and Research, Division of Academic Affairs and Division of Student Affairs.

 

Professor David Price from Santa Fe College, USA, is invited to give lectures on various topics relating to English learning, such as American Perception of China, The US Presidential Election, American Reality TV and The Comparison between the Current Global Economic Crisis & the Great Depression of the 1920s-30s. Dr. David is abundant in English teaching and has made fruitful achievements in economic studies.

 

There was not a single vacancy at the auditorium of North Campus. Teachers and students who are eager to be enclosed with English learning environment arrived earlier to witness wonderful speech from Dr. David. Meanwhile, he inspired students with his knowledge, teaching skills and humor. Participants enjoyed themselves in the lectures and decided to join in frequently.

 

Prof. David and Elizabeth Givens from EESI, USA, will be the next guest for the BUU Series English lectures. their topics cover the problems students encountered in their oral English learning, such as How to Create a Good Speech, How to Speak Well in Front of an Audience and so on. BUU Series English lectures are held at 6:00 p.m. every Tuesday till June this year.
