Vice President Bao Hong meets University of the West of Scotland Delegation

Paul Martin, Vice Principal and Executive Dean of University of the West of Scotland (UWS), together with Marcus Ross, Director of Corporate Marketing of UWS, paid a visit to BUU on Nov. 21, 2011. Professor Bao Hong, Vice Chairman of University Council of BUU, attended the meeting.

 

Prof. Bao Hong extended his warmest welcome to Mr. Martin and Mr. Ross. He said “BUU has enjoyed an agreeable partnership with UWS for more than ten years. Both BUU staff and students and UWS counterpart benefit from the effective and outstanding educational cooperation.” He sincerely hoped that the two universities should continue to make positive contribution to the development of internationalized higher institutions.

 

Mr. Martin highly positively commented on the long-established relationship between BUU and UWS and hoped to explore more fields for future educational collaboration. Moreover, he also briefly introduced the current development of UWS in senior management. He also mentioned UWS ranked No.1 in the west of Scotland and No.2 in Britain according to a survey on student satisfaction towards schools in Great Britain.

 

After meeting, Dr. Martin gave a wonderful lecture on UK National Health Service to BUU students at main campus and College of Applied Science and Technology respectively. He was very delighted to answer all questions raised from students.

 

Also attended are Zhang Jianlin, Chairman of College Council of Business College, Yang Yajun, Dean of College of International Education, Qi Zaiqian, Director of Division of Vocational Higher Education as well as staff from Division of International Exchange & Cooperation.
