Deputy Chief of Mission from US Embassy in China Visit BUU

BUU NOV 19, 2018  Mr. Robert W. Forden, Deputy Chief of Mission from US Embassy in China, paid a visit to BUU and was received welcome by Dr. Li Xuewei, President of BUU.

 

President Li Xuewei expressed that BUU is willing to provide facilities and study environment to diplomats of US Embassy. Last year, he delivered a speech on China Railway Development to those diplomats. During this visit, he gave his book High-speed Train Economy to Mr. Forden.

 

Mr. Forden expressed his sincere thanks to President Li Xuewei. He thinks BUU’s support to the Diplomats of US Embassy Language Program at BUU is a big contribution towards the friendship between China and United States.

 

Diplomats of US Embassy Language Program was established at BUU in 2016. The program is aimed to provide Chinese language and culture to diplomats who are working at US Embassy in China. So far, about 50 diplomats have studied at BUU.

 

Also attend the meeting are responsible staff from Division of Scientific Technology, Division of International Exchange & Cooperation, and Diplomats of US Embassy Language Program.
