On March 15, Dr. Victor Frank, Director of Overseas Language Flagship Programs, American Council for International Education, Senior Advisor Prof. Bai Jianhua, Ms. Linda W. Larsen, Manager of Chinese Language Flagship Program (CLFP) and Ms. Wang Zhaoping, Executive Officer of CLFP, visited Beijing Union University (BUU) and met Zhang Liancheng, Vice President of BUU. On the occasion, the two sides signed an agreement for cooperation on CLFP.

Chinese Language Flagship Program is a high-level Chinese talent training program funded by the US government and operated by nine optimally selected US universities. The program aims at training various professionals who boast a bulky professional Chinese vocabulary and are accustomed to thinking, speaking and writing in Chinese fluently and accurately, facilitating future exchanges and cooperation with China in respective professional fields.

The signing of this agreement will play a positive role of teaching Chinese to foreign students at BUU and training international talents.

Heads of relevant departments, such as the Division of International Exchange & Cooperation and the College of International Education, also attended the meeting.
