Vice President Huang Xiankai Meets Chienkuo Technology University Delegation

Beijing April 23, 2012. (BUU) Professor Huang Xiankai, Vice President of Beijing Union University (BUU), met Professor Hwang Ching-Her, Vice President of Chienkuo Technology University (CTU), together with Dr. Chen Xuan-Wen, Deputy Director of Center of International Affairs, CTU, vowing to strengthen cooperation between the two universities and follow up the future agenda.

 

Professor Huang Xiankai highly appraised Professor Hwang Ching-Her’s effort in pushing forward the development of education across the Straits. As regards to future collaboration, Professor Huang said both higher institutions have explored cooperation in various fields on the basis of Association for Relations across the Taiwan Straits in recent years.

 

Professor Huang hopes deeper communication could be conducted in competition of computer science, cultivation of students’ practical ability, construction of disciplines, and so on. He also expects more opportunities could be provided to Taiwan students for learning and living at BUU.

 

Professor Hwang Ching-Her pointed out the cooperation between BUU and CTU is a pioneer across the Straits and CTU leaderships highly value the collaboration with higher institutions in mainland China. “BUU and CTU have always been close friends,” he mentioned.

 

Professor Hwang Ching-Her expects that two CTU postgraduate students could treasure the opportunity to learn and experience while they stay at College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (CMEE), BUU.

 

Also attended is Professor Wu Zhongping, Vice Dean of College of International Education, and relating staff at Office for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affair.

 

After meeting with Vice President of BUU, Professor Hwang Ching-Her and his delegation paid a visit to CMEE. Professor Wang Wei, Chairman of College Council of CMEE, Professor Mao Zhiyong, Dean of CMEE, as well as all leaderships, several faculty members and students of CMEE attended the meeting.
